CHANGING GROUPS: Push #, then number of the desired group, then ENT (example: #, 02, ENT). You're now in group 2.  You may check to see what group you are in by temporarily pressing #.

CHANGING TONES: Select desired channel, press the number of the tone you want on the keypad. (for tone 4, press 4).

TO ADD/DELETE SCAN: 1-Select channel to scan. 2- Push ENT (SCN will appear in the LCD). 3- Set scan switch in the up position. 4- To remove channel from scan, turn the scan switch to the down position, select the desired channel to delete from scan and push the CLR key.

Priority Toggle Switch: This switch has two functions.  The first function is to prioritize a channel while in scan mode. Manually turn the Channel Selector to the channel that you want to be Priority.  Hit the PRI button.  PRI should now appear in the screen. When scan mode is enabled, if there is radio traffic on the Priority Channel, it will always interrupt any other channel and receive the Priority Channel radio traffic, even if there is current traffic or the radio has been turned to another channel.

The second function is used when you want to monitor and transmit on two frequencies, but don't want to have to turn the knob every time to switch frequencies.  Only one Priority Channel may be selected.  Turn off the Scan and Priority functions. (Push the knobs toward the front of the radio.)  Manually turn the Channel Selector to the frequency that you want to be Priority.  Hit the PRI button.  PRI should now appear in the screen when you are on that frequency.  Turn the Channel Selector to another channel that you want to use. If you wish to talk on your Priority Channel, toggle the PRI button (toward the radio).  Your screen will now list your Priority Channel.  If you hit the PTT button, you will now be transmitting on your Priority Channel.  To change back to the frequency that you have selected with your channel selector, toggle the PRI toggle switch away from the radio.  The Scan and Priority Functions may be used simultaneously.  This enables monitoring of two channels and the ability to switch back and forth rapidly to transmit.
